Dear Pre-K Parent,

I hope this letter finds you and your family well, having enjoyed the summer together, regardless of the less than ideal weather.

I am writing to update you on some exciting things happening in our Pre-K program. As some of you may already know, Mrs. Field is expecting and due in January with their fourth child. We are all very happy and excited for her and her husband, Rob. Mrs. Field will be returning to our Pre-k program as the aid in the four year old program all day on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

I am happy to announce that working with Mrs. Field will be Mrs. Barbara Mangona. Mrs. Mangona joins us from St. Clements, where her children attend. Mrs. Mangona has extensive experience working with young children in places like St. Clement’s, Saint Colman’s Home, and Forest Park Elementary School. She holds a Bachelors of Arts from Mount Saint Mary College and has finished her course work for NYS Certification for Nursery school through sixth grade. She will be a wonderful addition to our faculty.

Working with Barbara and our three year olds will be Mrs. Kari Planz. Mrs. Planz comes to us most recently from Calvary United Methodist Church Preschool but has worked with children in various roles for eight years. Mrs. Planz holds a Bachelors of Science from Clarkson University. Perhaps her best preparation for this position is her job as a mother of five. She will assume Mrs. Field’s hours with the four year olds when Mrs. Field goes on maternity leave.

Together these three women will create a very nurturing and fun educational environment for your child. I look forward to an exciting year in Pre-K.
