About St. Mary's School

We are one of the schools of the Roman Catholic Dioceses. Our curriculum is aligned with New York State Department of Education standards. We educate child from Preschool to 8th grade. We educate children from as many as seventeen neighboring school districts including Shenendehowa, Waterford Halfmoon, Cohoes, Mechanicville, Lansingburgh, North and South Colonie, to name a few.

Our doors open at 7:30 a.m. daily. Our academic day begins at 8:05 a.m. with morning prayer and concludes at 2:30 p.m. with afternoon prayer.

Saint Mary's offers affordable after school care until 5:30 p.m. daily, tuition assistance and a comprehensive, progressive academic program in a faith filled environment. Our student/teacher ratio is low, affording your child the attention he or she deserves.

Tuition at St. Mary's is one of the lowest among private schools in the Capital District Area. Tuition for students in grades k-8 for the 2011-2012 school year will be as follows:

• One child                                 $3,765
• Two children                           $5, 380
• Three or more children           $6,080

Tuition is paid on a 11 month basis July to May.

Kindergarten through 8th grade students attend mass on the first Friday of each month. This day is also a half day of school for the students, with a 12:00 p.m. dismissal.

Uniforms are worn every day. Students have a separate uniform for gym which  includes sweatpants and a t-shirt.  Once a month, the Student Council holds a dress down day.  Students who wish to participate in dress down day pay one dollar and proceeds are donated to a non-profit organization.
